Woolworths is targeting a 5-Star Green Star rating from the Green Building Council and will feature a number of environmental features to reduce our impact, including:

• Rainwater harvesting

• Solar panels

• Electric vehicle charging facilities.

Remediation

A review of the site has identified some degradation in groundwater limited to the eastern and northern portions of the site and asbestos fragments in the southeastern and northeastern corner of the site. It is likely that this contamination was caused by industrial activities from a neighbouring site.

Woolworths notified the Environmental Protection Agency and engaged environmental consultants and a site auditor who have led the process of remediation. ​
